Description

Monoclonal Anti Myc-tag (mouse IgG1 isotype) is derived from the A00091.01 hybridoma, produced by fusion of mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from BALB/c mice. A synthetic peptide corresponding to residues 410~419 of the human p62 c-myc protein conjugated to KLH was used as immunogen. Myc-tag provides a method to localize gene products in a variety of cell types, to study the topology of proteins and protein complexes, and to identify associated proteins.

1 mg/ml in PBS, pH 7.4 with 0.05% sodium azide. Frozen liquid.

Storage

Stable for one year at -20°C from date of shipment. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Aliquot will be stable at 4°C for 3 months.

Applications

Western blot (1:1,000), Immunoprecipitation and immunostaining (1:200).

Note

Briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container's cap because small volumes of antibody will occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage.
