PRODUCT OVERVIEW

 

Twenty aliquots of 2 mM S-adenosylmethionine (25 ml each) for use in methyltransferase reactions.  At neutral pH, S-adenosylmethionine is easily oxidized.  This pH-stabilized formulation has been evaluated by CH3 BioSystems to produce methylated product in standard methyltransferase reactions when stored properly.

RECOMMENDED USAGE                              

Dilute 1:20 for 100 mM working concentration for use during in vitro methylation of peptides and recombinant or native proteins.

TESTING

All lots of S-adenosylmethionine are tested for the ability to convert 30 ng of an arginine-rich peptide to a sufficient methylation status that is detectable by western blotting using Anti-mRG.

STORAGE

Thaw one tube for single use only. Store remaining aliquots at -80°. Stable for 1 year after the date of preparation printed on the label.
